Singlet-octet-glueball mixing of scalar mesons

نویسندگان

چکیده

The mixing angles between scalar isoscalar resonances and a glueball are determined from their decays into two pseudoscalar mesons. For f0(1370) f0(1500), at most small component is admitted by the data. decay modes of f0(1710), f0(1770), f0(2020), f0(2100) require significant fractions. Above this mass, errors in frequencies become too large to extract component. summation all observed fractions up 2100 MeV yields (78±18)%. as function mass consistent with 1865 width 370 suggested measurement yield mesons radiative J/ψ decays.

0 Mixing of scalar glueballs and flavour - singlet scalar mesons

We discuss in detail the extraction of hadronic mixing strengths from lattice studies. We apply this to the mixing of a scalar glueball and a scalar meson in the quenched approximation. We also measure correlations appropriate for flavour-singlet scalar mesons using dynamical quark configurations from UKQCD. This enables us to compare the results from the quenched study of the mixing with the d...

Mixing of Scalar Glueball and Scalar Quarkonia

The isosinglet scalar mesons f0(1710), f0(1500), f0(1370) and their mixing are studied. Two recent lattice results are employed as the starting point; one is the approximate SU(3) symmetry in the scalar sector above 1 GeV for the connected insertion part without qq̄ annihilation, and the other is the scalar glueball mass at 1710 MeV in the quenched approximation. In the SU(3) symmetry limit, f0(...

Scalar Glueball, Scalar Quarkonia, and their Mixing

The isosinglet scalar mesons f0(1710), f0(1500), f0(1370) and their mixing are studied. We employ two recent lattice results as the starting point; one is the isovector scalar meson a0(1450) which displays an unusual property of being nearly independent of quark mass for quark masses smaller than that of the strange, and the other is the scalar glueball mass at 1710 MeV in the quenched approxim...

The Glueball among the Light Scalar Mesons

The lightest gluonic meson is expected with J = 0, calculations in full QCD point towards a mass of around 1 GeV. The interpretation of the scalar meson spectrum is hindered as some states are rather broad. In a largely modelindependent analysis of ππ → ππ, ππ scattering in the region 600-1800 MeV a unique solution for the isoscalar S-wave is obtained. The resonances f0(980), f0(1500) and the b...

Mixing and Decay Constants of Pseudoscalar Mesons: Octet-Singlet vs. Quark Flavor Basis

Although η−η mixing is qualitatively well understood as a consequence of the U(1)A anomaly in QCD together with a broken SU(3)F flavor symmetry, until recently the values of decay and mixing parameters of the η and η were only approximately known, e.g. values for the octet-singlet mixing angle between −20 and −10 could be found in the literature. New experimental data, especially for the reacti...
